My creative process is informed by my time studying in the UK, where I built a photographic archive that continues to inspire my pieces. I adopt an experimental approach, combining silk, wool, and paint to capture a flower blooming and decaying simultaneously. Bridging alternative darkroom techniques (such as silver gelatin lumen prints) with contemporary digital street photography, my core practice explores botanical forms and urban narratives as a unified psychological language. This interdisciplinary approach has successfully led to my selection for various international exhibitions and awards. My goal is to push these formal boundaries further, consistently contributing to physical exhibitions and the contemporary interdisciplinary art community.

Xi Luo is a multidisciplinary artist exploring visual language through textiles, painting, floral design and photography. Inspired by nature, western philosophy and ancient Chinese poetry, She views art as a way to navigate life’s timeless paradoxes; memory and reality, softness and resilience, control and dissolution. Ultimately, her work aims to express universal human emotions.
