I am based in Somerset, and my practice centres on intuitive, oil-based abstract painting.  I am drawn to the fragile threshold where order and disorder converge.  My work moves between subtle evocations of place and pure abstraction, where emotional and practical decisions around palette, colour, form, and mark-making take centre stage.  Colour serves not only as a structural element but also as a carrier of mood, memory, and meaning.

Rather than adhering to a predetermined structure, my work emerges organically. There is an interplay between intention and spontaneity, making the outcome teeter between balance and chaos, harmony and disharmony.

Rebecca holds an MA in Fine Art with Distinction from Falmouth School of Art. She is a member of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts and has exhibited widely, with both solo and group shows in prestige galleries in London and across the UK. Her paintings are held in private collections worldwide, and she is regularly selected to exhibit in a range of open exhibitions, including the Royal West of England Academy, the Society of Women Artists, and the Bath Society of Artists.
