Oil on canvas

In my second portrait, my middle daughter Iris has also chosen to be pictured within the safety of a hoodie, her hand raised to her mouth adding another barrier between her and the viewer. Iris is normally very happy to meet my gaze when I paint her but here she looks down, unwilling to meet my eye. I wanted to capture some of the pensiveness that she brought to the sitting.
This is an unframed work.
