Acrylic and gauche on board

h: 49 w: 42 d: 1 (cms).

'Somewhere To Hide' is an unconscious response to the pandemic. A return to nature, a place to retreat to in the moonlight, a secret space that is a little menacing as the outside world swirls around us.

The colour of moonlight intrigues, it has a lumenosity and ability to create shadows. The colours of darkness are inviting, rich and soulful.

This painting has been built in layers, the surface is of dust or light particles portrayed through many coloured paint marks and shapes.

The painting is currently in a Sepele wood flat panel frame, the work meets the frame. But can be purchased unframed

Acrylic and gauche on paper

h: 53 w: 50 (cms).

'Sun Fall' is an unconscious response to the pandemic. Watching the sun fall from the sky at the end of the day, the air is still and tired, when the land ends there is only sea.

In the painting the sun lights the sky, a final bit of warmth before semingly sinking or floating away. As the sun leaves us, so we can also drift to other places.

This painting has been explored through layers, circles and marks, the paint is thin, translucent, hovering, unsure where sun, sky, water and imagination might go.

The painting is sold unframed.

This panting has been built in layers, the surface is of dust or light particles portrayed through many coloured paint marks and shapes.
