Paulina Chilarska works primarily in silverpoint, drawn to its precision, permanence, and resistance to correction. Her work explores memory, identity, human vulnerability, and the quiet survival of traditional knowledge. She prepares many of her own grounds, using their texture and tone as an active part of the image. Her recent drawings consider lives and practices that risk disappearing almost unnoticed beneath rapid social and environmental change.

Paulina Chilarska is a Polish-British artist and academic whose practice is centred on silverpoint, alongside work in watercolour and oil painting.
